Cooking is an art and life skill anyone can learn. Wild Flours Kids Kitchen encourages Young Chefs to get into the kitchen!

Wild Flours Kids Kitchen was created in 2016 to assist young chefs in creating nutritional, botanically inspired culinary creations.

Cooking is an art and life skill anyone can learn. Teaching young chefs basic skills to build upon, Wild Flours Kids Kitchen helps to empower young chefs in the kitchen.

Cathleen is a mother, chef, baker, botanist, and gardener who loves creating delicious and healthy foods. She values the art of gardening, growing and incorporating the many herbs, edible flowers, fruits and vegetables from her home garden into her culinary creations.

Having worked as a field and consulting botanist for almost 2 decades, in 2016 she made the change to follow her long culinary path. Cathleen is a self-taught chef, with a long culinary history. Growing up cooking and baking with her father, working in many restaurants, bakeries and as a private chef, Cathleen began teaching her children to cook, and there, in her home kitchen, Wild Flours Kids Kitchen was born. Using fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced and native ingredients, Cathleen teaches young chefs the art and joy of cooking.

Wild Flours Kids Kitchen values the local community and respects the environment. Working with local farmers, we are able to show and teach young chefs the use of fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced and native ingredients. Young chefs have an opportunity to use a variety of organic, fresh, seasonal ingredients in their dishes.

Cathleen is available to teach teen and adult cooking classes, plan creative menus and cook delicious meals for any occasion - from small private events to meal deliveries, postpartum meal planning or preparation, to special occasion cakes and baked goods. Please get in touch at wildflourskidskitchen@gmail.com
